Skipper’s season to remember
Alex Davies marked his first season as Warwickshire’s red ball Captain with a career-high run haul in the County Championship – and a call-up to the England Lions.
Bears’ skipper hit a career-high 1,115 runs in the County Championship in 2024.
The consistent displays were rewarded with a place on the England A winter tour to Australia – six years after his last involvement with England A – where Davies captained the side
Davies signed a contract extension ahead of the 2025 season that keeps him at Edgbaston until at least October 2027 season.
“Every time I go on the pitch and I’m leading the Bears it’s a bit of a pinch me moment. Being Bears captain, and following in the footsteps of some Club legends, is very humbling.”
